We went to the SF Symphony last night. They performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 4 and Strauss's 'An Alpine Symphony'. Both were fantastic. Vladimir Ashkenazy conducted and he was so much fun to watch. He had this great big infectious grin on his face. So rb is going to a Brown alumni event tonight. Ruth Simmons, president of Brown, is coming to San Francisco to talk about the progress of her initiatives at the University. rb and I are in lovely Madison, WI for New Year's at my college friends' apartment. It's a beautiful apartment overlooking Lake Monona - and I'm surrounded by lots of my geeky Mac friends (there are now 4 wirelessly connected iBooks/PowerBooks in the room). PowerBooks are cool. We should get one, rb.
