Bicycle GPS systems suck at planning routes!
I recently indulged and bought a bicycle GPS system (Garmin Edge 705) and maps (which you pay $200 extra for as Garmin is stingy) and I've found that it can't navigate! Firstly by the default settings it avoids all major roads (thankfully you can turn this off) which means that if you follow the directions it will tie you in knots avoiding them. ( Read more... ) -

Live Journal just told me that my birthday was coming up... Because otherwise I would never have known... While I think about it I suppose I should tattoo my name on my arm, just in case I forget. -
Things I'm glad I'll never have to work with (though it's fun to read about)
I'm glad my computer doesn't blow up when I forget a semicolon, however some chemists don't have the same guarantee. So I'm glad I don't work with the stuff mentioned in the following link however reading about people that do is fascinating! So your turn:

Writer's Block: Resolved
I don't understand why people need to make resolutions only on New Years Day. It seems silly to me because how is New Years Day different from any other time of year, other than the annoying requirement of learning to write 2009 on the end of all dates... On study procrastination
I often find it really hard to convince myself that I need to study for exams so it leads to me spending swatvac doing not much at all. It's a strange situation where I avoid social contact because that would distract me from my study and then I proceed to not study at all...
