Urgh. One test down, three to go.
I took my vocabulary test in Latin today, and I know I missed at least one, but on the whole, I feel pretty good about it. A lot better, in fact, than I feel about my prospects for getting any studying done tonight. I have a feeling I'm gonna be getting up early tomorrow, because I just haven't got it in me right now to do anything more productive than watching Daemang and playing solitaire. Tomorrow's the Latin test, and that should be okay--I just need to go over what we read in class together, which is basically only three texts. Totally doable, and if I get up all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow morning to study, it should all be fresh in my mind. Palaeography Friday morning...well, that's another story. On the plus side, this is the last night I spend in the dorms! Yay! I really think that, after you've lived in your own apartment and had your own kitchen and all that, you just can't go back to living in a dorm without a lot of frustration. Also, I will get to see my mom tomorrow, which is always awesome.
Speaking of my mom! Sort of. Okay, nobody except maybe
hurkon is gonna know who I'm talking about, but there's this guy who works at the Wells Library whom my mom calls "Two-Banana Eddie," because when she sees him walking to work he's always carrying two bananas. Well, she saw him on the History Channel last night, talking about whether or not aliens built the pyramids. Apparently, he's some bigshot UFOlogist as well as working on the Google Books digitization project at IU. The things you don't know about the people you see every day....
Also! Prop 8 got overturned! Perhaps I won't have to despair about the state of mankind tonight.
I dreamed a couple of nights ago, but all I can remember about it now is that Summer the cat died, and we had three new cats: Summer 2, Socks 2, and another cat whose name I forget. They were all Devon rexes, I think. Oh, now I remember the other part. I didn't even really audition, but somehow I was going to go on tour with Greta Salpeter, of the Hush Sound and Gold Motel, as a violinist in her band. This was cool, except I was having a really hard time packing. I think when I woke up, all I'd managed to pack was some bottled water.

I quite frequently think that the biggest problem in my life is me. But I kind of like how the song doesn't stop there--I think there's hope there, too--like, I may be complicated sometimes, and I make things harder for myself, but at the end of the day, that's just how I am, and it's okay.
