Crap, what song doesn't remind me of something? I have whole playlists on my iPod devoted to, say songs that remind me of my freshman year of college, or the first song I ever remember hearing by a band. So I'm gonna go back to something with maximum nostalgia value.
"Fun Fun Fun," by the Beach Boys
This song reminds me of something pretty specific: Every Friday night when I was a little kid, particularly in the summer, my family went out to dinner at the New China Buffet and then went to buy books at Borders. These were the days when the only bands whose existence I was aware of were those who produced top 100 pop hits in the 1960s, and the Beach Boys were probably one of three or four bands I could actually name. This was my absolute favorite song for a long time, and it still really reminds me of summers when I was a kid.
