Ergh. I'm pretty pooped. It's gonna be a busy couple of days, but I'm feeling pleasantly and surprisingly able to deal with it, which is a nice change of pace.
I passed my morphology test, which is a load off my mind. Now I can go back to forgetting all those conjugations! It won't take long. No, actually, it has been a pretty good few days in Medieval Latin. In Paleography, we spent today reading the weirdest scripts ever--Merovingian stuff from the seventh to early ninth century. Here's an actual quote from our handout about Merovingian Chancery script: it's "often likened to the wanderings of a demented spider." They're full of ligatures, so you get all these bizarre-o signs, and you say to yourself, "What the heck is this squiggle?" Then it turns out that it's, like, an "e" at the end of one word and a "d" at the beginning of the next word combined into one completely illegible doodle. And yet...I kind of like it. All this paleography is clearly rotting my brain.

I didn't actually see Quantum of Solace. I heard it wasn't that good, anyway, and I'm not that much of a James Bond person, though I liked Casino Royale okay and certain parts of the older James Bond movies are pretty much imprinted on my brain due to my dad and brother's obsession with them. All of that is completely irrelevant to how much I enjoy this song, which I am really going to have to play for the dudes of my family one of these days.
