OOC

I realized this morning during a particularly unpleasant bus trip that how I see this Near has a good deal to do with this song. For those that don't know Buffalo Springfield, they're most famous for 'For What it's Worth,' as featured in that movie with Nicholas Cage and all the guns, and parodied in Clone High when Abe Lincoln is falling out of ( Read more... )

I wanna do 'em all XDDD *is a little sad that she got here so late into the rp*

But the body swap room would be lotsa fun, I think. I could just see the two freaking out about being blind/able to see...

Yeah. I love the way you play him. Like, at first glance he appears like your standard, run-of-the-mill two dimensional character, but after characters get to know him a little better, there's just a hint of something deeper, like the regard he holds L in or... well, who only knows what. It's a multi-level thing you don't really see too often when roleplaying (I know I can't pull it off... ;P) And I love how elaborately you work in the small chinks in his omgserious! mask. It's just awesome. ^_^

Ep. And sorry about my sporadic on-times. The AC adapter on my laptop got split somehow, and it's in a place where I can't splice it--so I have to get on another computer when I can, but I can't all that often. I should be getting one shipped to me in a few days though.

No worries! Computer woes are a pain in the neck. My AC adapter EXPLODED last summer, that was fun.

And aw, thanks! I like your interpretation of A a lot too. It's easy to create a bit character, but hard to create one who fits seamlessly into the structure of something as complicated as Death Note- I really see how he could have been a failed attempt, so you've managed it perfectly.

I know what it's like to have something explode on you. I exploded my toaster last year... XP

And thank you so much! I was worried that I made him too naive and stupid to even be a failed letter... but I'm glad you like him! *love love*

Nah. He comes across as naive (but so is Near, in a lot of ways) and as distracted, but not as stupid. Just a little wobbly.

Wobbly? Where would you ever get that idea? XDD Joking, of course, but thanks a lot--that's sort of exactly what I was going for. I was sort of nervous though, because I'd only ever read the manga and the book--never wrote fanfiction or watched the anime--this is actually my first dressing room too. o.0 So I was still a little unsure of how to characterize the better-known characters. Thus, I chose the one who had about a line and a half of screen time. XDD

*nods* It's my first dressing room too, but my second character here. I also play one of the L's. But I'd rped a long while before, and have written crazy amounts of Death Note fanfiction (got bit by a REALLY WEIRD crossover bunny that sort of turned into this epic beast of a fanfic.)

Anyways- what IS with the tiara? :D

LOL. Tiara....ehh... To be quite honest, it just came with the userpics, and I thought it was quirky enough to be a physical appearance thing (you know how N has pyjamas and L has the slouch&sleepy eyes, and M has the girly hair? Yeah.) The character himself is actually from another FAVORITE anime of mine too (Reborn). It's ironic, because 1. he's a prince, and 2. He is NOTHING like A at all. I'll probably come up with something about it later XP

I know how it is to be bitten with the fanfiction bug. I have about 10 KibaXShino's (Naruto, okay? Feel free to shoot me now XP) up, and at least 15 more on my laptop... I'm rather crazy with the side characters... X0

I do get the side character thing, but mostly it's the weird-crossover thing. I have a gigantic L-V for Vendetta fic up. And am writing a Near vs Hannibal Lecter bit. >.>

Also, heh, it works! *still can't wait for Near to find out.*

I'm not really much one for crossovers, but when I can get ahold of a really good one, I tend to like them alright. Near vs. Hannibal... That sounds like an awful lot of fun.

*looks in fanfiction folder* Oh, scratch that--I did write a DN fanfic... in which B was the one who actually killed A as 'practice' for L, and simply staged it to be a suicide. XD

That sounds like an interesting premise!

Also, been meaning to ask, are A's wrists still bandaged?

Yep. They will be for at least a few more days (I was thinking around another week or so...)--he did just get out of the hospital the day before he was transported. ^_^

I'm just thinking Near would have noticed, with all the hand grabbing they've done in this thread.

More than likely. And now they're probably all dirty. XP

And man, 'bestest friend' moments can be so cheesy (or maybe that's just because I watch TV with my 2 and 4 year old sisters...). I'm still giggling. :P

*smiles* I am too, but Near has to social skills of a bulldozer and has missed the poignant moment.

XD You've got that right. But that's why we love him, yes? And besides, if it had gotten too sentimental, then it would have been all... awkward and stuff. Not like those two don't naturally makes situations awkward anyway...
