Glaucoma,
by itself, is a manageable problem. It had been a childhood full of eye drops and medications, side effects and doctor's appointments. Unfortunately, optic nerve atrophy. is a occasionally a side effect, and always irreversible. Near was permanently blind by the time he turned four.
