It's done!
I fianally finished my tax statement for 2006. Thank God. It was the most complicated one I had to do so far and it took forever. Now it's done and I will mail it off to the tax authority tomorrow. In about eight weeks I will hopefully see a tax refund of almost 5,000 euro and - what's even more important - a tax loss carry-forward for 2007 of 13, ( Read more... ) -

Life is sad
I feel depressed and burned out. I am tired all the time and even if I manage to catch a decent amount of sleep at night I wake up feeling like I just run a marathon. Work has been hell in the last couple of weeks and I won't even start about my doctorate. Oh and not to forget that I have to prepare my tax statement next weekend ( Read more... ) -
Same procedure as every year
Even if I didn't own a calendar and if there weren't any fireworks I would still be able to tell the exact day a new year begins. It is pretty easy actually, thanks to people's New Year's resolutions... At the beginning of every year it is the same. All those great resolutions. The old year has only very few hours left, at least here in Europe, and then it will FINALLY be over. I really hope that 2007 will turn out much better than 2006, as for me it has been a stressful and pretty shitty year. I'll keep my fingers crossed ( Read more... ) -
This is weird
It is the end of November and I went running today dressed in a short sleeved t-shirt and shorts. Hard to believe that this kind of weather could be normal. 20°C at this time of the year? The Summer is over...
It has felt like autumn for a while now, especially compared to a insanely hot June and July. It has been rather chilly and rainy and I reorganized my closet by putting the warm clothes back to the lower shelves and the skimpy summer clothes to the top shelves.
