Piper was sitting on one of the lobby couches reading an assignment for one of her classes. It wasn't an especially exciting assignment, so she was almost hoping for an interruption. She was going to get her wish soon enough.

When Piper returned home from classes, she was greeted by Veronica and a cake. Of all the ways to be greeted after a long day of classes, a cake was one of the best.

It was her birthday today and she was no longer a teenager. It wasn't as weird as she thought it would be.

Piper did not want to get up in the morning. She really considered skipping classes today, but she had a pesky test in one of them. She didn't feel prepared for it and was currently stressing.
