On a side-note I'm from Kuala Lumpur and wished you'd had the chance to try our varied cuisine there too. :)

Oh, yes, Malaysia is something I didn't yet get to try and I wish I will soon!
All of my friends are saying so many good things about food in Kuala Lumpur. I just got to try some in Singapore - mostly LAKSA - and was delighted. A wonderful dish...

May I ask you for a piece of advice before I go? :)

thank you for this recipe, i've been trying to mimic the wonderful regular curry from the local indian family place for a few years, with varying success. i look forward to trying this variation. it looks really delicious!

Just a heads-up, Thai curries and Indian curries tend to be quite different from each other! (both are tasty, though!)

Very true! There are also curries in other cuisines, like Japanese, Cambodian and all are quite different.
But for me as well Indian and Thai lead the list!:)
