The deleted scenes have begun to make their way onto YouTube. I've seen a couple posted on Tumblr (which is where I do the bulk of my fangirling at the moment so, as bad as it is over here, IT COULD BE WORSE) and what strikes me is the storytelling reason for removing most of them:

And, "seems to have reached the end of his ability to cope with rejection" sounds like a succinct summary of my dating history. Though it's taken me years to work out that that's what was going on...

I hope you like the movie when you see it--and yeah, that whole coping-with-rejection thing, and the trying-to-fit-in thing, was a struggle for me for years. I really think that's one of the things that makes Loki hit so hard for me and maybe other people. You look at him and go, "I'm not a god of Asgard, but I know how that feels."
