Dear Mother and Father (and Edgar & Oliver, by association),
Hogwarts is, well, nice. A bit larger than I expected, but I guess these things happen, don’t they? I know that the stories you always told, Dad, made Hogwarts out to seem positively massive, but I’ll confess, I did doubt you, but now that I’m here, I don’t think you were lying at all.

Hullo, Len. It's nice to see that Eddie has some friends and you seem like a nice girl.

There's me and Ed and Ted and Connor. We...play football...n'stuff.

Oh yes, that's right. I think I remember Eddie mentioning that. How fun you all.

Don't feel bad about having been sorted into Hufflepuff. I was pretty upset when the Hat put me into Ravenclaw, because I wanted to be a Gryffindor badly, but then I made a lot of friends in my House and really liked it a lot.
About your pretty blue jumpers...maybe you can wear them at home?
Reply
I'll try not to feel too bad. The people do seem really nice. And not at all like a load of duffers like I heard on the train.
I suppose I could wear at them, but they're just so pretty.

Yeah, Aurors are really utheful. We catch all Dark Withards, like thith *grabs an imaginary Death Eater* and then we throw them in Athkaban!
*rubs hands clean*
*smiles victoriously at Amelia*

Oh, I know they are. They do loads of important things, and I'm sure you'll make an excellent one, but that doesn't mean that I want to be in any job anywhere near the Ministry.

You certainly did look silly sitting up there with your mouth hanging open. Not get into the house you thought you would?
Bella's being a pill. Sorry! But from me; Welcome!

No, no I didn't. I wanted to be in Ravenclaw, like my father. Or even Slytherin, like my mother.
It's all right; I expect nothing less of her. Thanks!

Your mother was a Slytherin?!
I appreciate that! And come on over and join the cq_roundtable!

Yes, yes she was. And she was a lovely one at that.
Sure thing!

So you're in Hufflepuff, huh, Mealy Sue, huh, huh?
I love your first letter! So glad you're here! *hugs*

*looks around to make sure no one is watching, then makes a face back*
So what if I am, Eddie? It's not...that bad. And...at least I'm not a squib, like you could be!
Glad to be! *hugs*

I. Am. Not. A. SQUIB!!
*glares*
*grins evilly*
Besides, everybody knows, being a Hufflepuff is just a step up from being a squib...
My goodness, he's being a bratty little brother!
Reply
Are too a Squib. See? Not a drop of magic in you!
*jaw drops*
*sticks out tongue*
No! Well..I was almost in Ravenclaw! Stupid, ruddy Hat. How about bed wetting? Think of the stories I can tell, Eddie!
Yes, he is being quite the brat, but she's not being much better!

Hello! Welcome to the CQ! :D Feel free to just ignore Ted, he's all of 10 and very excitable.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome! XD Amelia (& I) find Ted amusing, because she's only 11 (despite claiming to be a mature 11) and thinks him better than her brother, whom she misses desperately.
