Sherlock (BBC)/Highlander, John/Sherlock + Methos, Sherlock dies at the pool and doesn't awaken before the authorities arrive. John calls his old teacher for help in clearing up the mess.

Watson was very careful to move slowly, as he raised his phone to his ear. He did not want to be shot by one of Mycroft’s trigger-happy men in black
( ... )
now I want a story about their childhood, what happens next or even how Mycroft is really Loki who enjoys being an elder brother instead of a younger one...

*grin* And I'm not even sure how to write Mummy, in this but she's a woman like no other. After all, she's the sort of person that Methos married and who then raised Mycroft and Sherlock after she was "widowed."
Hmm, Loki as Mycroft is intriguing. Occasionally he plays the villain in order to keep his brother and SHIELD reassured about what he's doing and how they can protect the world from him, but actually he's more subtly taking over the world as Mycroft and none of them will notice until it's too late.
Or maybe Loki is Mummy? Is Mycroft another child of Loki's or is he the Midgard Serpent, his coils everywhere?

Or what about Hermione Granger as Mummy? A know-it-all with magic, experienced in riding herd on teenage boys. There would have be either fudging of the canon dates or time travel issues, but either is possible.
she could be, but since book one I have always imagined her with Ron so can't really see it...Luna on the otherhand would make for a suitable foil with her off the wall comments, peculiar ways, and also magic to spice it up...
She seems the kind of unique individual who might spark an interest in Methos... I love Hermione but I can't help but think he would mentor her, encourage a rivalary with the boys... but not exactly interest him in a romantic way....

I never really liked the Hermione/Ron pairing as a long-term thing. It just annoys me that everyone in the book winds up with their high school sweethearts rather than at least some of them dating, having fun, and moving on.
I just made a post regarding the potential for Sherlock and Mycroft's Mummy, so you should go there and let me know: what would Mary Poppins or Hetty Lang or Luna Lovegood be like as a mother to Sherlock and Mycroft?
While I agree with you on the sweethearts thing, I just can't see them marrying someone else, dating for a while after a huge fight? yes... Harry finding someone else other than Ginny? Always seemed to happen in my eyes...the only one who didnt marry the school girlfriend seemed to be Draco...
I am not quite sure... but in order to have those sons and that husband it would certainly need to be someone with a good humour who is also very smart... and good humoured... can you imagine what kind of trouble those eager and curious minds would have gotten into as children??
BTW...the horsemen thing, will you do it? I always wanted a sequel to that story, or an expansion on your BtVS/HL bunny where someone manages to summon the horsemen from beyond...

Luna as Mummy really would be awesome. She's so very illogical and fragile appearing, and yet so very capable. Sherlock and Mycroft wouldn't know what to do, with both worrying about and respecting her.

Somehow I see someone like between Hetty Lange or Mary Poppings being Mummy...
Loki likes being an older brother, but he has to keep the old one entretained as well as make sure Sherlock keeps his wits sharp...
so much to do...
