Colonel, I say it all the time, but GOD you're so fucking amazing. I just LOVE your Hal voice.

Actually, I think I have the easiest time with him because my RL speech patterns and mannerisms are hilariously similar to his. Which, uh, please pity my poor friends and family. XDDD
You better come on up to NY, we just got that shit legalized. ;D

By the end I was choked up for BOTH of them, which is just not fair. I also wanted to strangle Megamind for only seeing the last part of the broadcast. >_<
Colonel, you have an amazing gift for writing the characters with incredible depth AND for writing action sequences that are both visually majestic and emotionally compelling.
My heart is all up in my throat over this fic. ;_;

I really wanted to show this situation as toxic for both of them, with both of them equally responsible for how bad it ended up getting. I see a lot of myself in Hal, so I consider it the greatest compliment that I'm able to make him understandable. ^_^
Yeah, Megamind has terrible timing. 9_9
Thank you so much for your kind words. They're very encouraging! <3

I'll have to go away and think before I can give a more coherant comment. I'll be back... {wanders off with stunned expression}

Your comment on Roxanne is dead-on; I'm sure she's been in total denial of this for a long, long time. His reactions in the film are too intense for it to have been only a passing crush, but I think she chose to ignore the situation in the hopes that it would resolve itself. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it festers.
I find Hal to be incredibly sympathetic, and I'm always thrilled to hear that I've managed to convey that in my writing. I'm especially pleased that you liked that little jaunt into space; I think even Hal is afraid of what he's capable of, the depths he'll sink to when he loses himself in his temper.
I go where the plot bunnies take me! If another Megamind one bites, rest assured that I'll share it with all my dirty little freaks at the comm. <3
Thanks very much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

UNF. SO GOOD.
Call Dreamworks, because you need to do all of Hal's scripts forever. Go back and change the movie. Because now I want to huggle Hal and spit on Roxanne for being such a gigantic Bitch.
And the additional footage for 'the broadcast' as we all call it? Beautiful. So true to how it should have been. I've always been like 'WTF How coincidental is it that Megamind sees that ONCE IN A LIFETIME live footage at just the right moment?' The idea that it was two hours long made her last plead so much more believable for her personality, especially given the events.
In summary, fantastic. Joy-gasm. You are a God. And so is Hal.

Roxanne... such a gigantic Bitch. My work here is done. XD
Yeah, I KNOW, like, WHAT ARE THE ODDS? I much prefer the idea of Hal going on and on and Megamind catching just a fraction of it. And I really appreciate that comment about making her plea more believable; I was skipping back and forth between the end of the preceding scene with them and the broadcast itself so I could see where I had to get them, emotionally, over the course of the fic. Roxanne sounds so miserable in the broadcast that I could only assume that she'd been through hell.
JOY-GASM INDEED. I'm so pleased!! Thanks very much for your awesome comment. ^_^
