coffee - the way to a man’s heart . Still pre-slash guys ;) (sorry about the length!)
Jensen looks over at Jared as he’s nursing his froofy coffee drink, and can’t help but feel awed that someone like Jared wants to be friends with him.
Jensen’s day from hell got better when Jared was rubbing his back, but it’s even better after Jared asked him out for coffee. Jensen doesn’t think it’s a date, not that he would mind at all if it was, but maybe this might lend the opportunity for them to hang out more after school.
Jared’s long bangs hang in his face and Jensen itches to brush them away, when Jared does it instead. Jensen’s half in love with Jared’s hands - long fingers and smooth skin. The fingers are a bit callused like Jared does real hard work in his spare time, but Jensen’s sure they’d feel amazing cupping his jaw as they kiss or over his body. He feels himself flush and tries to think of something to will away the thoughts - like snakes and maggots crawling over dead bodies or something.
He’s been having a more difficult time reigning in the not so innocent thoughts. Jared just has that effect on him.
Jensen was completely serious about liking the coffee place, though. He loves the atmosphere it lends and if Jensen ever gets the courage to ask Jared out, he would totally bring him here as their first date. Maybe he’d pull the armchair a little closer to make it more intimate.
Jared starts talking and Jensen shakes himself of the ideas he has. He can wait. Hopefully.
They talk for what seems like hours, about everything and anything. Jared is an amazing person, has a humor that matches Jensen’s, and he’s really fun to be around. He turns everything into a joke and Jensen is in stitches long after they’ve finished the drink.
He looks outside and sees that it’s dark and he still has to go home to do lesson plans. Jensen really doesn’t want to, but it’s time for him to go home. He tells Jared as much and is glad to see that even though Jared is smiling, he looks a bit disappointed as well.
Jensen doesn’t want to brush this bubbling attraction away, he can’t. He never expected for him to get in so deep over his head. For now, Jensen hopes they can still hang out, maybe get to know Jared a little more. After all, they still have time before the semester is over and Jensen has no clue what comes afterward. But hopefully, whatever does, Jared will be part of it, because he can’t keep brushing off the feelings he has.
