A/N: A sequel to yesterday’s fic brushing it away . Still pre-slash guys ;) (sorry about the length! But upside, we’re getting closer to the SLASH haha)
It’s been a few more weeks and the semester is nearing the end. Jared has enjoyed his time at the middle school immensely, but he kind of wants a feel for the younger kids. He’s asked the lady in charge of placing student teachers at the university to see if she can put him with fourth or fifth graders next semester. He and Jensen have talked about it, and Jensen’s planning on getting another teacher, but around the same age group.
It’s not like it’s a huge deal, but Jared doesn’t want to think about the end of the semester, the last day they’re going to see each other, and then having missed out on his chance to make a move on the guy. They talk and text a bit more, and Jared’s found out all the friend things he wanted to know about Jensen. Well, more or less.
They’ve also hung out a couple of more times since that one coffee non-date. Jared hasn’t taken things to the next level yet because he’s just afraid. Afraid he’s imagining things that aren’t’ really there because his mind is clouded by infatuation for Jensen.
Jared knows Jensen’s going to be good no matter which school he goes to, so it’s not like that’s an issue. Jensen has this air around him, he charms people so quickly and perfectly that Jared’s not even sure if Jensen knows he does it. It’s a neat trick, really, how Jensen does it so unconsciously.
Jared’s also peeked into Jensen’s class and he’s seen the kids respond to him with so much respect. It’s incredible watching Jensen teach, really. It’s like Jensen is full of these bag of tricks and the kids respond eagerly. Jared’s not gonna lie, he would too. He’s exactly how Jared imagined him to be - calm yet passionate, intelligent without being over the top, and Jared can admit it’s hot as hell too. His voice is soothing and perfect.
He bets that all the girls, and some of the boys, are harboring crushes on Mr. Ackles.
Jared is too, though. But he needs to come up with a plan, and fast, otherwise it’ll be too late. And Jared is going to regret it forever. That’s not even him being melodramatic. It’s just the truth.
