A/N: A sequel to yesterday’s fic the balance of things. Still pre-slash guys ;) Sorry it’s so short!
It’s been about two week since Jared and Jensen have officially met (so about 4 days they’ve actually seen each other) and Jared’s really happy. They’re just talking at lunch, and have exchanged phone numbers and thus texting randomly.
They have the same set of teachers at different times, so Jared tells Jensen about what’s ahead for him in one class while Jensen does the same for another class. It’s a pretty decent system.
Jared’s glad Jensen can’t actually see his face when he gets a text from him because his best friend Sandy tells him he has this disgustingly cute smile and his eyes light up when it’s Jensen. And if someone else texts him, Sandy says that she can see the anticipation and then the disappointment if it turns out not to be Jensen.
He can admit he’s totally crushing on the guy; he can’t really help it. Jensen’s just that awesome. He has seen the side looks that Jensen sends his way when he thinks Jared’s not looking, so he knows Jensen has to be a little interested at least.
The fact that Jensen is looking is a comfort. It means that Jared isn’t completely insane. It would be more of a comfort if Jensen would do something, but Jared can totally rock being an awesome friend. He can sprinkle some innuendo-laden sentences into conversations just to make Jensen blush prettily, but he’s willing to do what it takes.
He’s kind of looking forward to getting to know Jensen. He wants to know his favorite color and food and subject and why he wants to teach and how he grew up and childhood stories and everything.
Jared is totally okay with being his friend first, because it seems like that’s what Jensen wants even if they haven’t talked about it. Jared can wait to find out things like Jensen’s first kiss, how he likes to be kissed, his favorite sexual position, and everything a boyfriend should know.
For now, he’s completely comfortable with talking to Jensen at lunch, texting him when the mood strikes, and fantasizing stupid schmoopy things like cuddling as well as completely naughty things, too.
