Yeah, I get what you're saying. :) That's one of the things I admire is that he really comes across more as "I'm straight, because for the sake of this situation and the point I'm trying to make, it's the category that I seem to closest fit", not "I'm irrevocably straight, and everyone has to know that so they don't think I'm gay".

I can feel myself getting rather deep and sappy, but oh well: I always want to point out to people that you don't fall in love with a gender. If you did, then you would be in love with every woman you met, or every man you met, or everyone you met. Gender is relevant, sure, but it's not really what makes us unique

Yeah, it's like Emma's quote to Santana and Brittany: "It's not who you're attracted to; it's who you fall in love with." There are, what, 7.9 billion people on the face of this planet, and for a straight person to say that it is completely impossible for them to fall in love with a member of the same sex, or vice versa for a gay individual...that's naive and foolish. For instance, I'm gay---gayer than a bag of rainbows stapled to a leprechaun's cock, and I am very proud of it. However, I did fall in love with a woman once, against all odds and possibilities. It didn't make me any less gay---it just made me human

Totally one of the first RPFs I read and I adore it.

I think we tend to forget that they actually haven't known each other a huge ammount of time (though I suppose they got to know each other pretty quickly considering the situation), and they seem to be settled in now. It's nice. :)

I agree so much. They seem like kindred spirits. :) And from what Chris has said about his own background, I think it would be really great if he could have a friend like Darren who would really want to hang out with him simply because he's an awesome person. Not that he doesn't have that now, but I think Darren, in playing the boyfriend (I love that I get to say that), is in a unique position to really be a good thing for Chris. It could have been awkward if Darren wasn't the person that he is, but as it is, Darren probably cares more about what the Sorting Hat's verdict on Chris was than the Scarf of Sexual Preference. ;) I don't know how much of that Chris really had when he was younger.

Speculating is fun. :D

I agree with what everyone is saying. I would like to think that Darren and Chris could date, because they would make a great couple! but maybe even if they dont, I just love their friendship!i think it's awesome that Chris is a fan of AVPM, and they seem like they have a great friendship on set. I think them being thrown into being boyfriends on the show just makes them closer in real life, and even if they dont ever hook up, I think Darren would make a great best friend for Chris and the other way around. lol.
