I've got to start being a better friend. I barely keep in contact with people. I need to make the effort to reach out and strengthen the ties that I care about. I'm going to start tonight. So it's never pleasant to think about death, but sometimes it can be useful, or even necessary. I'm not dying, although I accept that one day my physical form will no longer exist on this planet. We had to put my dog Thurman down today. I feel awful about it, but at the same time, keeping him alive simply was not an option. He was tired all the time, and in pain frequently throughout the day. It really was for the best, as much as it hurt. I'm so glad I was able to share part of my life with him, and I'm glad that he shared his life with me ( Read more... )
