I was working on getting two deals closed that would've Gotten me working on two somethings, but never got actual ink on actual contracts. Whether either of those two deals will still happen once the strike is over... who can say.
So I'm now working on my tan. 'Tisn't pretty, because I don't tan; best I can hope for is to neutralize some of the blue.

On your behalf, and on behalf of those who would like very much to hear your words on our televisions, argh.
Tanning isn't all it's chalked up to be, anyway. Melanoma and all that. Perhaps you can take up a new hobby? They say kick-boxing is the sport of the future... (Or they did back in 1984, anyway. *g*)
They're not IN LURVE, they're dating and it's a pretty casual thing, but they like each other, and Rodney's trying, god bless him. It's kind of nice to find something in genre television which isn't all OTP and Destined Love and all that yotz. How nice.Huh. I think you just clicked on what I was trying to figure out about them. I'm still not sold on it - mostly because I'm frustrated that Katie seems to only exist as Rodney's love interest and we don't get to really see her as her own person (as a scientist who has survived quite a while on Atlantis and goes off-world to find new plants and is probably very good in her field, as a person with hobbies and a history and a life beyond being Rodney's love interest). I guess I want to see more of her and her side of things and it's making it harder for me to buy the relationship
( ... )
Ronon and Teyla were pretty awesome. The blocking and the costuming for Teyla are beginning to be a bit obvious, if not distracting yet. Still, they were smart and got to be a bit condescending about the crazy Earth-people, which I always like.
At this point, I think a good 90% of my enjoyment of the show derives from Ronon and Teyla rolling their eyes at the Earth people and then rolling up their sleeves to save their bacon.
I think they might have filmed out of order--I know there was some confusion about episode order before the season started, and that's usually why that happens--because I swear the obvious blocking and loose coat on Teyla have been more of an issue in some episodes than others.
I'm mooching around hoping for some discussion that isn't founded on assumptions that... I don't share.
I think I've mutated as a fangirl, or something, because I was actually sort of surprised to read episode commentary that made categorical statements I just flat-out disagreed with. And reactions to various developments and techniques that were based on a whole nother reading from the one I was happily embarked on. Very polite, I hasten to say, where polite dissent was offered. But I conclude that I've been fortunate in my flist, in terms of what I guess I'd call the attack on the story--any story.
Which is to say, if you're moved to post on the show, I'll be a happy and interested reader. I'll prolly post too, just have to watch 605 first.
I posted almost the same thing about Matt and Julie, and the show being back as you did. I thought the Mexico stuff was kind of lame, though I agree the physical acting by the guy who plays Street was great.
Also, love the Coach and Tami stuff just to pieces.

My feet hurt, too, actually: the new climbing shoes are awesome but I should have bought a size up. (See yesterday's post for pictures!)
