Emily Prentiss, what she thought of when she woke up in that hospital in Bethesda and learned she had to walk away from her life as she knows it

She should have died. And if she is completely honest, she'd rather be dead.
Because this, this isn't what she wanted. She's tired, so tired of running, of being afraid of her own shadow. She wants to have a home, wants to belong. She wants to stay. More than anything, she wants to remain with the people she loves, the family the team is.
But she can't. She did this to protect them. She went after Doyle, on her own, because she couldn't allow any of them to get sucked into this. This is her war, her past. Her friends, her family, they didn't sign up for this.
She made her choice. Now she has to continue protecting them. As much as it hurts, as much as she knows they will hurt, she knows that it's the only way. Emily Prentiss is dead. She died on the table. Just vanishing into thin air wasn't enough this time, this time it had to be real. She died and her team buried her.
And now she has to leave Emily Prentiss behind, has to leave her past and everyone in it behind. All her accomplishments, they don't mean anything anymore. Because they ( ... )

This is wonderful, she must have gone through so much during that time, it's great to see more fic of it.

Elle Greenaway, sometimes she wishes she could go back

Sometimes she wishes she could go back. Sometimes, when she's channel surfing really late at night, she wishes she wasn't so impulsive. Sometimes, when she thinks she sees a member of her old team, she wishes she wasn't so afraid. She wishes for the camaraderie of the team, the feeling of warmth even in the darkest times. They understood each other in ways other didn't - they saw the evil and they fought it together ( ... )

This is great, a great insight into Elle's mind post-BAU.

It's so interesting to think about Elle post-BAU! You've done a great job exploring what she was going through after she left.

Jordan Todd, just because she couldn't handle the BAU doesn't mean she can't do good

FILL - Charity 1/1 [FRC] anonymous December 13 2011, 14:33:30 UTC
Jordan doesn't notice it until she's fumbling around in her purse for small change to give to the homeless man with his dog on her way to work. As she leaves him a ten dollar bill because she can't break it and walks away, she recalls similar occurrences in the month since she left her temporary placement with the BAU. Coins in charity boxes in shops, notes to homeless people who ask or don't, sponsoring colleagues who were running for a cause in the upcoming FBI triathlon, signing up to two different charities after seeing their commercials on TV ( ... )

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of Jordan, but this was lovely. I think it showed that not only can Jordan, but also gave insight into what it must feel like to work in the BAU.

I have to say this is my new personal head canon!

Seaver has a history of anorexia linked to wanting to be the perfect daughter, but she beat it and thought it would never be an issue again. When she is in the BAU and under new stress, she notices the signs of that behavior manifesting again and tries to stop herself from repeating it.

I've been really nervous about posting this because I've never had an eating disorder and can't claim to know exactly what it feels like. I do feel I have a decent understanding of them based on the years of psych classes I took and having had multiple friends fight with them, but that's definitely not the same as people's lived experiences. Please feel free to tell me if I fucked up anything.

I really enjoyed this fic. It seemed very realistic, and it gives Seaver a much more interesting to exit than anything we saw on the show.

Fill: 'All too mundane' (PG-13) anonymous December 12 2011, 12:17:13 UTC
It’s midmorning by the time she takes a well-earned break from studying the extensive files on a years-old case, and she luxuriates in stretching her legs as she makes a beeline for the percolator full of fresh coffee. She takes her coffee strong and very sweet, and as she waits for it to cool, she surveys the busy office, catching snippets of one-sided phone conversations and urgent discussions ( ... )

This is great, and I imagine it's pretty accurate. Most people probably heard of what happens, it must have been a real shock for Jordan. I like the repeated imagery of the coffee.

So far, this is the one that has made me think the most out of everything I have read here. I was never really a Jordan fan, but this makes me really curious about her. I love fic that weaves together loose strands...having people hear news about things second or third-hand. Thanks for writing something that makes me think. I love it!
