Summer is here and passing...
Since I haven't done a post in AGES, I suppose I should do a bit of catch up. School finished up June 13th, and we had a nice, fun end to the school year. Jett came towards the end of the day and helped with the afterschool program's last fun day (she did caricatures.) Then she helped me get stuff cleaned up and put away ( Read more... ) -

The puppet show is going well- even if we are tired. Today "View From The Bay" came and shot some live footage. Live television is always more exciting- you know, cuz' somebody might say a bad word or something. ;)

Jury duty...
Yesterday I had jury duty. I had checked on Friday and didn't have to go in on Monday, but then on Monday at 4:30pm when I checked, it said that I had to report on Tuesday. I DID get to sleep in a bit- so that was nice, but I was a bit stressed about what might happen and how long I'd be required to keep going in. I got to the courthouse, and ( Read more... ) -
Engrish
Many of my students have school supplies from Korea. They get the cute pencils, pencil cases, erasers, and notepads with various adorable little animals and designs. Two of my girls had the same pencil case. If I remember correctly, it had a picture of a little elephant on one side and some kids on the other. It also had a saying printed on it ( Read more... ) -

student answer: "because the way the move is a role that conrolls, for example, if the area will be warm or cold and where the condensation point is."
teacher reaction: "HUH??"
