Finished up my portion of a coding project for the day, which is happy. Salmonella is pretty wussy food poisoning.

The CDC estimates that only 3% of cases are even reported. 40,000 cases are reported. 600 American people die from it a year. So it's like a 0.005% death rate; less likely to kill you than the flu (which is somewhere around .1%)

That is true. But just in general, people get kinda upset over buying packaged foods that cause food poisoning.
