Finished up my portion of a coding project for the day, which is happy. Now I've got the afternoon to work on the other two current top priorities: cataloging various acquisitions so I can sell them (decluttering + $$ = Happy Abra), and getting all my martial arts notes in order (pretty important, since I'm at the reviewing stage and notes are kinda crucial). Writing is taking a back seat to these two tasks, which makes me uneasy, but they *are* more pressing. And for me, "pressing" does trump "important but not pressing". Which is bad, according to many organizational systems, but difficult to avoid. Maybe I'll budget in a 1/2 hr. of writing, if I can.
Today is the last day I have to treat my eye infection! Yay! This means I can get an eye doctor appointment on Monday (my prescription expired last month) and have contacts again, which I am really looking forward to! Doing forms and drills with glasses attached by a stretchy band wasn't bad. Sparring with a helmet was awkward, 'cause the glasses didn't sit right and kept gettin gin the way and argh! I didn't go to grappling class because a) I'm too blind to do anything without glasses, and b) I really can't afford to break them by trying to wear them while grappling. Switching over to the weekly/daily wear contacts should be good, too. I can't remember the last time both contact lenses actually lasted an entire year.
