It's true that most people fear failure, but sometimes I think that I secretly wish for it (I sure as hell do nothing in my power to be otherwise). If I fail I can start from the bottom, rebuild myself as I see fit, and everybodies expectations would fade away, they would accept that I have to start low after failure. when you don't try, and you fail, then it isn't because you aren't good enough, it's 'cause you didn't try. much easier on the spirits, sometimes.

and what's this shit about you not being a hard worker? you get a degree in four years- that's an accomplishment! (esp. at Smith- I was way not mature enough for that!)

In other news, people ask me the "what you gonna do after grad." question, too. My answer, verbatim: "I'm going to get a job." Then I glare at them. And they shut up! Awesome!
