I got this note from an old co-worker/friend when I sent three pics of Li:  "Lila looks like a little sassy pants.  I'll bet you have your hands full.  Thanks for the pics."  Sassy pants?  Is that a good or bad thing?  I'm not sure how to take that....

omg, that picture is adorable. ^_^

when I was little I convinced people I knew how to read because I had all of my books memorized and knew when to turn the pages. it's amazing what little kids can keep in their heads!

Eowyn did that with "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," where it seemed she was reading while reciting it. That's a great tool to learn reading since kids can link the sounds they know to what they see...

Lila decided she only wanted to view the purple cat in that book last night. She fight to flip the pages until she found it and proclaim, "There she is!!"

Oh - this is also the famed furrowed brow look Lila gives to the doctor. He thinks it's hilarious! She's done it from the time she was just a few months old.
