today I spent some money on my self.  Don't fall over ok?
got myself some undies and socks and most importantly of all some prismacolour pencil crayons...36 unsharpened colours!  and a pencil sharpener....

I never hear this song anymore.  Sometimes I am tempted to go grab the album it is on so that I can have it.  I long to hear it every Christmas because it pretty much sums up the way I feel about it.   Emerson, Lake and Palmer recorded it and it is called I believe in Father Christmas....I am not sure when it came out first but I remember it around ( Read more... )

Tonight we watched the very last two Rainbow Quests that are available on dvd.  The first one featured the New Lost City Ramblers.  It was a treat to see Pete play with his brother Mike, and he showed a video clip of Mike riding his unicycle and playing his banjo at the same time!  Like I said previously the New Lost City Ramblers are dear to my ( Read more... )

The last Pete Seeger shows we watched featured (a very young) Doc Watson exhibiting his fine flat picking style.  I love Doc Watson and became aware of him along with the Carter Family, and the new Lost City Ramblers when I hooked up with Richard.  Before that I was a main stream music listener.   ( although I admit to stealing my father's Glen ( Read more... )

this movie is about a man named Mark Bittner and the parrots he befriends while living on Telegraph Hill in San Fransisco.  Mark was homeless and living on the streets when he had the opportunity to caretake for a house on telegraph hill.  I can't say its the most exciting movie I ever watched but it most certainly is interesting to listen to Mark ( Read more... )
