My younger cat Cora wanted to rewrite my first ever LiveJournal post, so I acquiesced. She is purring on my lap right now. (At the end of the entry she tickled my toe!) My older cat Matilda is napping in the chair behind her.

Today, I was alerted that the medic alert company wanted me to send it an alert signal to make sure the system worked.

Although, checking the references, some of the books the author used (in DuBois' Suffrage) were not published until ... 2004? That's the exact year I started this LJ! ...which didn't even happen until November, which was a couple months into my junior year of high school. At the moment, I am watching a tourism DVD. It has interesting, likeable music, and seems to be crammed full of British History.

As I remarked earlier today, I am only half-awake, so I don't think I am catching as much of it as I have done of some movies I had watched for undergraduate study in the past. However, I could watch it more than once.

I am reading my library's ILL policy in depth now. For example, item E. It reads:

Borrower Re-requests: Requests for the same item, from the same patron will not be accepted for 30 days from the date of return of the item. This shows a recurring demand and the borrowing library should consider the item for purchase (if it is available).

Apparently, the US President dropped from re-election so the primary candidate to replace him is his Vice-President. Some pundits have commented he did not immediately nominate her, indicating doubt, but I saw a ten-second-or-so clip where he said he nominated her as his VP for a reason, then read his baffling statement on X.
