Today, I was alerted that the medic alert company wanted me to send it an alert signal to make sure the system worked.
Personally I find it annoying and unnecessary, so I have refused to do such a thing. I have always phoned 911 directly when I needed assistance - and only when I genuinely needed help, such as when my mother was having difficulties with her health.
It is mildly distressing that the landline has gone out of operation since that means I need to have enough mental faculties to recall where I am phoning from, but generally speaking, I do, as of the current writing.
If I stop, then there IS the new system, which I find annoying.
Well, I COULD call them up and send them some vitriol, since my father has told me he is afraid of me when I get angry. Yet, I am not ACTUALLY angry about it. More... surprised and convinced it is a waste of money...?
I thought about adding my location to this entry, but then I reconsidered it, remembering the Internet Creep episode.
