According to Southwest Airlines, anyone who cannot sit comfortably in their seats is "too fat" to fly or should at least buy two tickets. And as some have pointed out the way they enforce the rules is weighted against women because we tend to be big in the hips while men are more likely big in the shoulders or belly. Last week the FASHION CLUB at school (we have a fashion design major here) decided to hold a bake sale to raise money. Well that sounded wonderful, right? So I went to the sale and they also had a bunch of super cute items the members had created for sale, particularly a large pile of ADORABLE aprons! Oh they were soooo cute! And I have wanted a cute apron for quite a while!
So I held one up and... literally, it would only fit a child. Or one of the size 2-4 young girls working the bake sale. You know, where they were selling brownies and cupcakes and cookies????
Why no Fashionistas THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!!
oh yeah you bet I said something. They acted like I was "joking." When I said I was not, they acted like I was CRAZY.
I can just imagine them bitching later "hey it's not OUR FAULT she is too fat to fit in our clothes!"
Bitchez!

But nothing is better for making me feel like a giant cow than not being able to fit into any of the cute items they had made and well selling while also buying and eating cookies and brownies!
Thanks Fashionistas -- you have learned the most important lesson in fashion which is: ALWAYS MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS FEEL BAD ABOUT THEMSELVES.
