This was lovely; I wanted to cuddle Jared so badly!! And Jeff was wonderful, and JENSEN!! OH! Just gorgeous, and your descriptions of the mountains and Jared's longing for home almost made me cry. Bravo!
This is absolutely fantastic. I had a deprived childhood (er... out of the country) so I don't know the movie, but the story took my breath away. It made me happy and sniffly and squeey (sort of in order), and all the characters are absolutely fabulous, from Chad and Jeff and the puppies (!!!) to Jensen's parents.
I have to confess, I didn't actually watch the movie until after I'd claimed the prompt. >.> I claimed it solely based on my love of the book growing up, and my conviction that Jared would make the perfect Heidi. :D
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Even if it did eventually have to end. XD

Not familiar with the book, either. I admit that knowing the original makes the reader appreciate the 'remake' all the more, as one can see the changes and adaptations and very specific things the writer has done to the original to fit it with the J2 pairing. So, sadly, I cannot appreciate any of that, but I still loved the story tremendously. ♥

'Heidi' was always a favorite of mine as a child, and you've reworked it masterfully!
Really just wonderful. I love the lake and the mountains and Jeff and Jared finally feeling like he had a *home*...beautiful stuff!
Really enjoyed it.

If I get fired, I'm blaming you and your earnest, home needing Jared.
Damn you.

Why did the story have to end? *sadface*
