[ To be entirely honest, Cecil isn't all that surprised to find that the artificial intelligence around Cydonia has malfunctioned and regularly has been attacking the people it's apparently supposed to be protecting. [Cecil is still his friend regardless of anything else, after all. But Kain had good reason for going off alone to Mount Ordeals, back in their world. That Darkness within him... it's still there. He fears what could happen if it ever lashed out at Cecil.]
