This wasn't happening. Except, it was. He just expected a free dinner and some sports conversation. He didn't hate Burt. He was okay. He made his mom happy. But, this wasn't how this was supposed to go down. It was too soon. He was happy without a step-brother to live with. He didn't need this ( Read more... )

So the date with the coffee shop women had, gone badly. He knew it was going to. He knew it was. I mean, she was nice enough, but he was trapped between not wanting to move too quickly, and the fact that he was dreadfully lonely ( ... )

Taking a gulp, the beer burned down Finn's throat. No, burn wasn't the right word. He didn't quite know how to put it, anyway, but, whatever it was he wasn't used to it. He should drink slower, he told himself. He needed to drink slower.

Shifting in his seat, he brushed his leg against the person sitting next to him and he mumbled a, "Sorry," before turning to look at the guy.

Eyed wide, he slid the beer to his right almost into another guy's. So, he kept it to his right, sort of, offline.

"Oh - Mr. Schue...?" he said, looking away. He didn't say it. He wasn't seen. He wasn't here. And his teacher wasn't here.

People got bumped into at bars, that was just a fact of life. Things like that happened. So Will didn't even think about it until he heard his name, a name very few people called him. Well actually it wasn't so much that few people called him by Mr. Schue, it was just that the demographic of people that called him it was one demographic, students.

He choked on his beer and looked to whomever had just spoken to him. Okay he wasn't that drunk, was he? Was Finn really sitting next to him, and what was that in his hand, alcohol?! He blinked. He had to be imagining it, he was drunk. That was the only logical explanation. He had to be, but he knew that just wasn't the case. So he opened his eyes once more and there he still sat and Will panicked.

Letting go of the beer, Finn looked up at the bartender. "Can I get some fries?" He asked, not adding in an 'also.' "Oh, Mr. Schue!" He tries to feign shock in favor of a pleasant surprise. "I was just - working on my game and I came up to get fries," he said, nodding along with his story.

"Funny...seeing you here," he said, smiling, the 'here' sort of disappearing into the ether.
