broken?
so, i'm loving this unit... it all makes sense to me and is so much fun... we're covering pulmonary and cardiac systems.... but i fear that all of this fun learning is coming at a cost.... day to day living cost really... i thought it was kinda amusing that i was having problems keeping track of days of the week a few weeks ago... but now it seems ( Read more... ) -
losing track of days
so... grad school's been keeping me really busy.... when i tell people that i spend most of my waking moments either in class, eating, or studying, i get the impression that they don't believe me..... like yeah, sure... i'm sure you also watch tv and do laundry and clean dishes.... tv watching i do.. but after i'm done with studying for the night ( Read more... ) -
i'm an aunt! again...
so... the original plan was that i was going to go to korea with my sister to pick up her newly adopted daughter (my new niece!)... but alas, i have school and there's no way that i'd be able to take off a week... especially this past week..... so i've been getting updates via IM and her blog.... here's Mi-ra

what a week
so, i just finished my first set of exams and just completed remediation week. what is remediation week? you may ask... well, with every unit exam we have (written and multiple choice AKA mcq), we have to take all the wrong answers that we have and write a few paragraphs on why the correct answer is really correct. we have to reference it... and ( Read more... ) -

overwhelmed
i feel completely and utterly overwhelmed with the amount of things i have to learn and do..... even if i take it one day at a time, there's just never enough hours in the day to do what i need to. things get put off.... and that's something that i told myself i wouldn't do. ha! i'm not the only one... most of the folks in class feel the same way ( Read more... ) -
time for an update
i finally have a little bit of time to post an update of how things have been going lately... i've survived 2 weeks of grad school! i still feel a little strange that i'm not dragging myself to work, but i'll get over it. it's amazing how many people have said "i can hear how happy you are in your voice!" when i tell them about leaving CMU and ( Read more... ) -
exhausted
The last two days have been incredibly long.... and tiring... my body's not used to getting up at 6.. last night i crashed around 10:30. that's probably the earliest that i've fallen asleep in months... i need more hours in the day... i just hope that things will ease up a bit once this mini-intense semester is over... time for me to go to sleep so ( Read more... ) -
finishing up
i had a really nice going away lunch at aladdins today... and i feel glad to be leaving here on a good note... i've had my share of ups and downs here (especially with managers)... but i'm glad the last manager i had was jeff. no stress knots every time i heard his voice in the hall... kept me in reasonable check.... laid back but still cared ( Read more... )
