finishing up
i had a really nice going away lunch at aladdins today... and i feel glad to be leaving here on a good note... i've had my share of ups and downs here (especially with managers)... but i'm glad the last manager i had was jeff. no stress knots every time i heard his voice in the hall... kept me in reasonable check.... laid back but still cared... :)
i can't believe it's been over 11 years since i started working here full time.... and it's all coming to an end as soon as these machines finish wiping their drives.... my boxes are packed up and i just finished up the last of what i wanted to accomplish before i leave here... my keys and ID have already been turned in...
it's all so sad... and exciting.... and, well.... strange...
classes start on monday.... orientation at 7am on monday....
i will now work for myself and no one else.... if i don't put the work into it, i won't get anything out of it. but i doubt that that will be a problem. i'm so excited about the program it's just too insane. i've actually been smiling these last few days at work :)
ah.... and end of a big part of my life and the start to the rest of it :)
