One of my husband's mottos is, "If it's worth doing, it's worth OVERdoing." That's very evident in the construction of my new chicken house. What started off being a small 4X6 shed has morphed into quite a project. Here's what he's done so far.

Pretty solid and awesome looking, I must say.

Up to this point he'd worked on it off and on for about four days. It would have been probably about two days' worth of work if he'd been really humping it (as he puts it, lol).
He could probably get the rest of it done in another two or three days... but other things have to come first. :)

Right now I have 19 lil' chickens, but will have 31 once I get all of my baby chick orders in. We're planning on giving six of them to an elderly neighbor lady this summer, and that will leave us with 25.
The chickens will have a large run/pasture, too... I can't wait to see the whole setup when he gets it done! :D

And your hubby's comments amuse me. *takes the bit of soul from the picture and adds it to collection*

It's really no rush, though... the chickens are still just little girls right now. :)
