I have a feeling they'll get even uglier before they're done... but then they'll start getting pretty again. Everything has to have an "awkward" stage, lol.
Mine don't particularly care for it either, but they are getting pretty tame! When I open the door of the coop they'll see that it's me and come flapping/running over and climb up on my lap if I'm sitting. :D Granted, that probably has more to do with the fact that I hand-feed them treats vs. them really liking me, but that's okay, lol.
Dawww...I remember once I visited a boyfriend's family in Florida. They raised chickens for Tyson and had just gotten a shipment of chicks in. I got to hold one and it fell asleep in my hands. When I sat it down it followed me everywhere I went as I walked around the chicken house, staying between my feet. I almost wanted to take it home.
I'm getting more next week (I ordered some through the mail) and I can't wait!! These should be little black and white ones plus some reddish fuzzies! :D
LOL teenagers! XD Luckily they are best buds most of the time but they definitely have the occasional squabble among siblings. They're still trying to figure out who rules the roost, I think, lol. And now that my darling hubby has decided to build me a larger coop and pasture, I'll be getting about 12 more... 6 next week and 6 in early June! FUN!
It's really fun for the kids, too... especially the younger set, who can't go out to the big barn and do much with the pigs or horse because they (the pigs and horse) are so big.
OMG those diapers! D: I love animals and I love birds and birds as pets and all of that, but nooooooo!!! XD

I take it "Foghorn Leghorn"'s name was based off an actual type of chicken and not just random? lol ^^;

They're still cute. There's just something about a chicken's face that makes it cute.
So, how many diapers did you order? *snerk*
