Re: the last sentence - depends on the private school in question. They get to set their own policies with respect to non-classroom staff on a great many things, and I'm fairly sure the librarian is one of them.

Al has allergies too, but I only give him a children's Claritin when his nose is running

Sorry we couldn't make the party. Danielle has on going con crud which made us coming unlikely and then Friday night I spiraled in to terrible stomach illness. :( But sounds like Ian had a good time though so hurray!
