It's kind of funny how they do the journalism program at Carleton. They let 200+ people in for first year and then tell you the first day that they're going to cut the class in half for second year. They don't exactly say "Take a look at the person beside you, chances are by this time next year either you or them or both of you will be gone" but ( Read more... )

G-Unit! Glad to hear you're doing alright... I guess. You would not believe the world load I have. Ugh. Why did I decide to do a science minor? Can I plead temporary insanity to the Dean when I flunk out of school? I'll update the internet with my life soon so you'll know where I'm coming from. Good luck with the story.

"Real" journalism somehow always manages to be equal amounts of thrilling and terrifying. But it is SOOO worth it when you get your byline.

Yeah, that's what I heard as well, that the deadlines are scary to get through but then when you actually see your story in print, it all becomes worth it. :)
