We should...sometime

Jun 13, 2007 23:26

Whether we live round the corner from each other or on different continents, if I happened to have some spare time in your neck of the woods where should we meet and what should we do.

Post this yourself if you wish to make your own list of potential diary fillers.

Damn you, this is exactly what I'm actually trying to figure out for visitors. I'm far too new to Fleet to actually know what there is (been here since 9th May this year), add in my lack of employment and the fact I know no-one in the area and you can see my problem....

Um, I know a few areas to go for walks through trees and stuff, and I know where the town shops are (including a fair few pubs and restaurants). There's also Farnborough not that far away, and Aldershot, the latter I know has some military-related museum....

I'm not giving up that easily.

This is where we will meet up!

Ah yes, I know that place, having been through said shopping centre a number of times :).

It would be great to meet up again; think last time we did was at Carole's party last year, if I am not mistaken :)

You are quite right and lovely to meet you both it was too.

Clearly, Carole must have another party, if only for our sake. In the meantime, however, what I was really angling for was your favourite place for being sociable that is local to you.

I did love trolling round Derby with you but Markeaton Park sounds lovely hooray for mini-trains!

Walks are a good lure but that one seems to carry a high risk of death and derangement. I suppose that's what we get for letting Wiki summarise out lives.

My bad, the Wiki page was a poor choice. Tales I've heard from the local mountain rescue are mostly about carelessness or stupidity, such as 'climbing' it in sandals and a cardigan, or forgetting their inhalers and medication...
It's really not that bad for regular hill-walkers.
