The coronahysteria is SO annoying. People are just believing whatever tf the media and govt is saying without any reservation or checking at all. And then they rush out and buy mountains of flipping toilet paper. It's ABSURD. The only perk I'm seeing is that supposedly gas prices are gonna tumble here at some point. I wish I could hoard gas lol.
Oh, I haven't even thought about that yet, but you might be right. Well, in that case I just bike to work. Just driving back home to wash my laundry which is about 150 km oneway might be a problem then. ;P
*sigh* ..... well, only time will tell, I guess. I really hope they can do the Olympics. I suppose postponing wouldn't make much sense either.
I guess it gets kind of boring after a while. I think I felt that way about many limited / seasonal things from time to time. As I haven't been in Japan during sakura season ever since 2014, I guess I'm excited to just receive this one instant coffee from Starbucks, especially because I like VIA instant coffee a lot in general. :)
It's so crazy to see how travel plans are being disrupted - they've even started canceling events like yarn retreats and stuff!! I'm so sorry things are not going as planned, vacation-wise D:
We have at least one confirmed case in my area - a 70-something-year-old. My best friend is a nurse and they were testing another (old) person and she was describing the like, full hazmat-suit treatment (as if it were as dangerous as Ebola!!!).
Cute characters!! ^_^
"It's really exhausting that there's always something going on with my body. It's really ridiculous." I agree, and I totally get it. So annoying that it's always something.
I understand they want to restrict exposure for risk groups, but in my eyes it makes more sense to have those risk groups restricted as much as possible, but not everyone else necessarily. It seems like the virus is spreading anyway, no matter what they do. *shrugs* But only time will tell, I suppose.
The US is getting more and more cases anyway. I'm supposed to travel there this summer, also to Seattle where it's quite crazy at the moment. You still have a lot less cases than we do, so again I'm worried that Trump will shut out several European countries soon. ^^; .....
Yes, I've heard about that. In Germany it's only a suggestion, but Bavaria has taken up and cancelled all events with more than 1000 people nevertheless. :) A few people are arguing because it was suggested to have the soccer pros play in empty stadiums ... XD ....
In fact a co-worker was in such a full stadium on the weekend and now he's sick. He's forbidden to come back to work until he can show a negative Covid test. XD ... Oh welll ...
That's nuts about the train incident : ( Just sucks even for people with normal seasonal allergies even, getting death stares from sneezing.
Over here, we confirmed case in my specific county in a nearby town, but overall our state is still one of the worst ones in my country for it, where confirmed positives and deaths keep mounting up. More school districts closer to the worser areas/hotspots are teaching remotely, as well as some Universities. Our governor is considering more strict county or citywide social distancing mandates. Sucks to have a leader/government on a national level here that's staying in denial/lying instead of dealing with the ever worsening situation though. :/
Very interesting. I see the numbers in the U.S. keep rising as well. "Funny enough" they've already overtaken Japan which again lets me doubt very much those Japanese numbers ....
Well, from this point on nobody knows what will happen. We can all just wait and see and use our brains / common sense, I guess. :(

Oof, and Seattle is shutting so much down right now. Maybe it will have passed through by Summer...?
That's the most frustrating part - we just don't know what the governments will do and how the virus will play out.
*hugs*
