So. Despite initially making a laughably low offer of settlement, then saying he hadn't seen my estimates for two weeks, then saying he thought they sounded high without seeing the itemisations, the assessor looks as if he's going to recommend they settle in full for the water damage. He says it will be by cheque, rather than direct to the plumber.

The washing machine is now fixed, so the house is full of wet clothes. I also had to use up a full day's holiday because the repair man was here for three hours in the middle of the day so I couldn't just take a half day. The washing machine has gone again. Annoying.

I think the washing machine has busted again.
Luckily I am going out to Vampire tonight, and then to Tom's, so I don't have to think about it for a bit!

Not that I regularly ignore stuff or put things off, or anything.......

And by the way, it's a bit cold again today, isn't it.

Well, the binmen still came this morning - and I missed them.

Some more of the half-inch thick 18" x 10" glass tiles fell off (other wall this time) while I was cooking tea tonight. The rest of the wall is still sweating damp. The insurance assessor is due on Thursday. The same day as the snow........

Today was supposed to be the day I blitzed my Christmas shopping. This morning the washing machine broke. They found me an engineer slot. This afternoon. Which is good in a way.....
