Nick is employed (yay) Mia can communicate without help of a parental translator (er... could have lived a while longer without that one) and I have an ink blot of the new baby. Today was Nick's happy birthday. all in all a good day despite the fact that I worked through half of it and slept through another chunk.

I'm taking my first plane ride ever tomorrow. I'm heading for the sunny gulf coast of Florida at 9am tomorrow morning. I have one demand out of this trip and that is at least *a* margarita by the pool... I hope they have alcohol at this resort... one hour of peaceful margaritaville... that will make it all worth it.
