So, for all you who haven't heard, about 200 acres of west Flagstaff is still on fire. A handful of our friends who've been evacuated are crashing at our place, waiting for news (they weren't able to get to their house in time to get their pets out before the evacuation started), and the fire is about 3000 feet away from their front door. Kitty goodness!
Today, we got a kitten! As a gift to Tom and I, Sheldon arranged everything with the landlords (who had previously been against having any sort of pets in the house) and got their permission. He also took care of all the paperwork and paid the fees associated with adopting an animal, so all that was left for me to do was to go down to the shelter ( Read more... )
