She still keeps spontaneously shouting "WE WENT TO A FOOTBALL MATCH AND GOT HOME AT 2AM!" I'm finding it hard to blame her. XD

IT WAS VERY EXCITING. Sometimes too exciting, since we had no idea whether we'd get in until two hours before the match, but never mind.

Well, I get to see Poli play about once a year, so our third one will probably be next autumn. XD Unless Inter have a CL match in Britain; I think I'd go to that. The "job" of being an away fan turns out to be so exciting (and feels so important, for some reason, like if you chant loud enough your team will win) that I'm keen to try it again sometime. (ancient_bat didn't like the announcements in the stadium, though. She kept covering her ears and complaining that they were too loud. <3)

I am jealous of all of that, even getting lost in Failsworth.

I'm going to have to use that as an expression from now on. Like when Inter lose the Supercoppa: "Inter have got lost in Failsworth."

I waited outside afterwards for the Poli players, but apparently they escaped through an underground bus tunnel (?!?). So I waited for the Man City players instead in the hopes of getting Paddy or Silva's autograph, but alas, only one British bloke came out and I didn't even know who he was. Sorry. (Also, I wish David would shave off that "beard" he's got going on.)

Aw! Were things going badly for him? I thought he had a very good season w/Auxerre, helped get them into Europe and all?

I don't actually know if his gloomy countenance is/was a reflection of his circumstances, but he certainly never used to smile. He was one of the spooky Triplets of Glum along with Alex Curtean and Florin Costea: their faces are similar and they always look(ed?) funereal. If he's moving away from his siblings (and playing well, too), that's got to be a good thing. (Must find out more about him now...)
