Hallo hallo, friends. How are you all doing? I figured I would swing by to make an entry, bring attention to some cool things and brag about the awesome weekend I just had in NYC hanging with fangirls. :D
(

I love love love my NYC trips, but it's been a while since I managed to sneak that much Broadway time in. And I was able to do it without sacrificing my fangirl time, too!! It was a really sort of magical weekend.
AHHH, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am so so excited about it and I just know I'm going to be so happy there. Of course I'm still in the stressing out about everything stage. I cannot freaking wait for this whole move to be behind me so I can just settle for a while. I've moved 11 times in the last 8 years. I am so beyond ready to STAY PUT ( ... )

I totally feel you about the comments. Getting people to comment on my art has become so much harder the last few years, and it doesn't really motivate me to make more. :/

Thank you! I'm very happy with the hair. :D
It's so, so rough to try and stay inspired in this feedback climate. :( Your art is such a gift to us, though. <33

Regarding working out, I have a bit of experience in that field, and am actually working out right now to lose some pudge and get stronger. We can be (sorta) workout buddies! First off, I'm not going to recommend a brand of shoe to you specifically as the best kind you can buy, but you need to make sure it's closed-toe. Gyms will NOT let you work out on their machinery if your toes are getting some fresh air, so make sure you get a pair of sneakers that are comfortable for you to wear, and have good arch support (if you have regular feet) or orthotics (if you're like me and have flat-feet). Some good brands are Nike, Ecco, New Balance, and Abeo, to name a few ( ... )

What a fabulous vacation!!!! and I love your haircut, it is very chic!!
It's rough to convince myself to write a 20K fic when the last one I wrote got 19 readers who cared enough to bother leaving a comment, you know?
Yes. Yes yes yes, a thousand times yes. This is an argument I've had with myself many times. What has save me so far is 1) fabulous support from friends and 2) just when I want to throw in the towel, I get a comment that is so amazing, I feel completely validated for a while :-)
So here's support to keep going! And I absolutely enjoy your stories.
I will say that Masquerade was fantastically fun, and it was also super fun to see the boost in readership, with having so many stories hit. I was thrilled to get a couple of comments from you too :-D Overall, the Masquerade response has helped a lot to keep me going on big bang. So...kep on banging ;-)

The trip was a grand success! The hair was a qualified success but also a success! Hooray!
Yeah, getting those really great comments every now in then has saved me a few times. And I did get a couple of those recently that really made my heart warm. But I dunno. I'm in such a rut right now than they are also just making me remember how nice it was to get those kinds of comments regularly. Whatever, I'm confident I will get over it (for a little while, and then I'll get sad about it again, and then I'll get over it...), it just feels dreadful for now.
I had a lot of fun with Masquerade. I didn't get nearly as much response to one of my fills as I was expecting, because I really liked the story, and that's sort of what set this whole thing off. But I still had a great time writing it and reading everyone else's fills until my goddamn eyes bled.
*hugs back*
