Prompt: #133
Title:Jjang Dating
Pairing:Jongdae/Sehun
Rating:PG-13
Wordcount: 3.5k
Summary: Jongdae wants to help people with their dating problems but Sehun just wants to date Jongdae.

“M-me? With him?” Sehun is not breathing as he stared at the bright-eyed, brown haired boy from the corner of his eyes. "Don't you think-we're total opposites? Plus I know almost nothing about dating so how would that - "

Jongdae slings his right arm around Sehun's neck and Sehun chokes at bit. He swears Jongdae is trying to strangle him before they can even go on air. "Don't be so negative, Sehunnie! Think of all the people we'd be helping!"

Sehun wants Jongdae to 'help him' by taking his hands off of him. "Don't call me Sehunnie."

"The show will be great!" Their direction exclaims, slamming a fist down on the table. Sehun jumps a bit and Jongdae smirks, his eyes twinkling. "A shy boy who blushes just at the mention of a girlfriend and a loud obnoxious boy who jumps at the chance for attention! Everyone will eat it right up!"

Jongdae nods in agreement before he realizes what the director had said. "Hold on, obnoxious?" Jongdae huffs as the director goes on about the ratings and the money they'd receive. Sehun's head starts to hurt.

?

"Hello and welcome to the first episode of Jjang Dating!" Jongdae waves excitedly at the camera and live crowd. Sehun meekly waves along. "We're your hosts Kim Jongdae and-"

A thin smile reaches Sehun's lips. "Oh Sehun," he mutters, wrinkling his eyebrows.

"You're practically, whispering, Sehunnie!" Jongdae hisses at him before turning back to the camera, his smile wider than before. "Isn't he just adorable? Such a shy boy! Oh Sehun, everybody!"
The crowd laughs and Sehun can feel his face heat up. "We have an amazing show for you tonight! We're going to talk about the dating do's and don'ts, best places for first dates and how to get that special someone to say yes! I'm so excited for tonight's show, I can't even explain it! But before we get started, let me ask you guys: how many of you are currently dating? A show of hands!"

Approximately, half of the crowd stood up and Jongdae places a hand on Sehun's knee. "You don't need to stand up, Sehunnie. We all know you're single." He turns to face the camera again, like a scene from The Office. "That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Oh Sehun is currently on the market! But I don't know for how much longer because I find Sehunnie pretty cute."

The crowd laughs and Sehun glares at Jongdae as he grins back at the younger boy. "Stop calling me Sehunnie," he coughs, sighing.

?

"The ratings keep going up!" Their director exclaims when they are called in for a meeting. "You boys are doing great!"

Sehun blinks as Jongdae grins at the praise. He was about to ruin the happy atmosphere however, because Sehun figures that an hour every day with Jongdae was an hour too long. Call him a quitter if you will, but if you had to spend time with a loud, obnoxious Jongdae, you probably would want out too.

"About that - " Sehun tries but the director cuts him off.

"Look at your fanbases! They're bigger than anyone ever imagined!" He slides the laptop towards their direction and Jongdae excitedly takes it from him, scrolling through the page.

"Look at all these fans, Sehunnie!'

Sehun stares at the stats but he doesn't understand much of it. There are a lot of foreign words and languages that Sehun's never even heard about. But Sehun does spot his name coming up quite often and the words ëshy' and ëcute' were often attached.

Their manager slides them each a white envelope without a word. Sehun picked it up, curiously, raising his left eyebrow but his manager just shrugs as Jongdae rips his envelope open without any questions. Jongdae, for once, is quiet as he stared at the paper in his hand. Was this the day that Jongdae's big mouth got him fired? Sehun can honestly say he doesn't know how to feel.

Sehun remembers he has an envelope as well and wonders, maybe had he gotten fired too? Sehun feel a bit disappointed as he tears at his envelope because after all, he did enjoy admiring Jongdae when he didn't have his mouth open with constant blabbering coming out of it.

It's not a letter firing Sehun.

It's a paycheck and Sehun feels his eyebrows go up as he scans the numbers. There's more zeros than he can count.

Maybe he'll stick around for the show for a little longer.

?

On the second episode, Sehun is ordered to teach the effect of aegyo.

"Do I really have to?" Sehun frowns, his eyebrows burrowing. He stares at the boy who was sitting in the guest chair with an amused expression. He was the one who claimed he didn't like it when people did aegyo, causing Jongdae to recoil in shock and demanded Sehun to show him what she was missing out on. But to be honest, that hopeful look he was wearing gave Sehun a feeling he wanted this to happen.

"Of course!" Jongdae cries out. "You have to show our friend," he pauses and glances back at the orange haired boy, "what did you say your name was again?"

"Luhan," he says, smirking as he stared at Sehun. More like 'lu-ser', Sehun thinks to himself.

"You have to show our friend Luhan here, the perks of aegyo!" Jongdae continues, starting to pace. "What will we do when Luhan gets a girlfriend or boyfriend and they want him to do aegyo and he can't bring himself to do it? How will he see the light? If Luhan gets in a breakup, it's all on you, Sehunnie. Do you really want that weight on your shoulders? The guilt? He's going to end up alone and - "

"Alright, I'll do it," Sehun grumbles as Jongdae claps enthusiastically. If doing aegyo would shut up Jongdae, he'll take it. He clears his throat as the crowd cheers which only makes Sehun more nervous. "What should I do? Is the cutie player okay?" He raises one eyebrow and the audience erupts in a bunch of high pitch squeals. Jesus Christ.

"Shall we sing the song for him, audience?" Jongdae exclaims and Sehun lets go of his breath. He hadn't realized that he was holding his breath to begin with.

"One plus one equals gwiyomi.." Sehun can feel his face flush red already. Why did he agree to this?

"Two plus two equals gwiyomi." Sehun stares at Jongdae as he moves his hands in circular motions, trying his best to be cute.

"Three plus three equals gwiyomi." Was it working on Jongdae, maybe? Did Jongdae find him cute?

"Four plus four equals gwiyomi." Still, Sehun thinks Jongdae is pretty cute.

"Five plus five equals gwiyomi." For a loud mouth anyways.

"Six plus six...gwiyomi!" Jongdae concludes, grinning and Sehun finds himself blushing. Jongdae walks over and pinches Sehun's cheeks, cooing of how adorable he was.

?

It's a sunny Sunday morning when they had finished another meeting, going over new topics and segments that bored Oh Sehun. Sehun watches from across the table as Jongdae enthusiastically suggested the idea of answering questions from the audience and it made him wonder why dating, or even love excited Jongdae so much. So he decides to ask his co-worker once the meeting is over.

'What's not interesting about love?' He asks, eyes wide. 'It's cool how you just start growing feelings for someone without realizing it. Like, you find someone you love and you want to spend the rest of your life - and you do for the most part. What's not interesting about that?'

stares at Jongdae for a moment, unable to come up with a logical explanation before the brown haired male marched forwards, pushing the door to SM Entertainment and was greeted by the shining sunshine.

'Let's meet up tomorrow morning for breakfast and go over some new tactics for our next show,' Jongdae suggests once they're out of the office.

Sehun's eyes widen, his eyebrows rising at the question. 'Like a date?'

Jongdae blinks in surprise but laughs, giggling at Sehun as he nudges the taller male. 'Sure. Like a date.'

Sehun tries to ignore the way his throat goes dry and his heart pounds a little louder in his ears as he nods yes.

?

Sehun is early for the first time in years.

He follows the waitress to a table for two, nervously biting his lip as he thanked her before sitting down. He's a bit irritated at himself, truthfully. He couldn't find a logical explanation to why he had spent more time getting ready this morning, or why he found himself smiling like a twelve year old girl when Jongdae had crossed his mind. Actually, Sehun did come up with one reason but it was a reason he was going to avoid.

'Morning, trooper! You're early,' a voice chirps, sliding into the seat across from him. Jongdae is grinning brightly for 11AM and Sehun can only stare at him in return. Impossible. It was impossible for someone like him to exist. 'Did you order yet?'

'No,' Sehun replies as Jongdae waves the waitress back over. He orders for the both of them before resting his chin on his two hands. Sehun doesn't know how to react or respond so he just stares back, his eyebrows slightly raised.

'You know, after all these times we've been friends, I've only noticed now that you don't talk much. You express more with your face,' Jongdae observes, sitting straighter as he leans over and taps on Sehun's nose. 'Still cute though. I like the shy ones.'

Sehun's throat goes dry again as Jongdae launches a conversation on how today's episode will probably be one of their best considering they're starting to take questions from the audience now. Sehun's a little awry considering, who knows what kinds of fans they have and who knows what they'll request? It was a game or Russian Roulette and Sehun was not looking forward to the do or die atmosphere the segment set.

'It'll be exciting, I think,' Jongdae says. Clearly, Jongdae was the total opposite of Sehun.

'Aren't you worried about what they'll ask us?' Sehun mutters, nodding at the waitress when she returned with their food.

'No, not really. What could they possibly request that'll be so bad? They're all just hopelessly in love and don't know what to do.' Jongdae pauses, stabbing his sausage with a fork before picking it up and waving it in Sehun's face. 'Sometimes, you can be unsure of your feelings. You know, avoid the fact that heck, you like this person whether you like it or not. Your heart is the one that's deciding and that, Sehun, is why we are doing this show.'

Sehun thinks he's doing this show for Jongdae and nothing else. Sehun watches Jongdae drink his orange juice and to his horror, Sehun finds himself thinking of something he shouldn't be thinking of. Fuck, he curses in his mind, I have a crush on the maniac who talks too much.

?

Sehun lets out a small sigh. He wishes filming would go by faster.

'Alright, let's take a question from the audience,' Jongdae says, standing up and scanning the crowd that seems to have grown overnight. 'You, with the blond hair.'

'Hi, my name is Joonmyeon!' The viewer greets, grinning as he glanced around the unamused audience. Was this guy here to get famous? 'I have a problem.'

'Well, what is it, Jajangmyeon?' Jongdae prods.

Joonmyeon clears his throat. 'It's Joonmyeon but, my problem is I have a liking in herbs, medicine and all that stuff. You know, the things that keep you healthy. But my friends always make fun of me, calling me old. When will they understand that I don't eat that stuff willingly? It's obviously to extend my life by a few years.'

'I'm not sure where we come in, Yeon.' Jongdae pauses. 'Hey! Yeon! I just made a joke*.'

'Well, if I really am old and if my friends are really right, how am I going to get my own lover?' Sehun can practically see the stars in Joonmyeon's eyes. As if on cue, Joonmyeon's eyes shift over to Sehun and his expression immediately changes. 'By the way, Sehunnie! I'm your biggest fan, you're so adorable. I want to protect you at all costs!'

Sehun blinks. 'Pardon?'

Joonmyeon squeals. 'Ah, call me hyung! Call me your hyung! Help me with my problem, Sehunnie!' He nudges a viewer next to him, jumping about. 'Isn't Sehun the cutest? He's the cutest.' To Sehun's amazement, the blond's eyes start to water.

Sehun's really confused and Jongdae must be too because he's staring at the blond with a sour expression. 'Uh, well, there's no age to love, I think,' Sehun suggests and the crowd ëaw's'. Sehun really had no idea what was going on.

'S-Sehunnie! You really are sweet!' Joonmyeon fails about, about to say something else but Jongdae cuts him off.

'Alright! Problem solved! Next question!' Jongdae scans the crowd, his eyes landing on the other side of the seatings, away from Joonmyeon. 'You.'

'My boyfriend asked me to give him a lap dance last week and I didn't know how to do one,' the viewer wails, making Sehun grimace in annoyance. If how to give lap dances was a big problem, Sehun worried for future generations.

Jongdae frowns, thinking for a moment. 'Alright, viewer. I'll help you. Your name?'

'Tao,' the viewer blubbers and Sehun can only stare at the tall, Chinese male. Surely, he was younger than Sehun?

'Well, Tao, lap dancing is a form of skinship, which, let me tell you, is a very important factor in a relationship. I know a friend who shrieks like a baby when someone comes in contact with his neck,' Jongdae explains, shaking his head as he sighed. 'But, nevertheless, I will teach you how to lap dance!' He declares, jumping out of his seat as the crowd cheers.

Of course. Sehun watches curiously as Jongdae makes his way over, already to decline Jongdae's offer to do a lap dance with him but instead, Jongdae plops himself onto Sehun's lap, causing Sehun to turn a bright red. 'Wh-what are you doing?'

'Sehun here, will be the one receiving the lap dance,' Jongdae explains, gesturing to the DJ beside the stage as the audience giggles, cheering but it simmers down once they realise Dr. Kim will be starting his lesson on how to give lap dances 101. 'First, you need to decide, what kind of music are you doing to have? Something slow but sexy. Anything but Orange Caramel is alright. Love those girls but, the music will set a party atmosphere rather than a ëwhoop my ass on the bed' feeling.'

Sehun thinks that Jongdae will probably get a lecture from their manager later on from this.

'After you choose your music, what should you do, Sehunnie?' Jongdae coos, tickling the bottom of Sehun's chin.

'I don't know,' Sehun responds quietly, staring down at the ground. Anywhere but Jongdae's face would be a good scenery for him.

'Well, after you choose your music, you can either keep your chair in the center of the room, where there's lots of space or lean it up against a wall. It's safer to try the wall if you're a beginner since the wall will give you support,' Jongdae explains before standing up, making Sehun immediately miss the comfort. 'Now, there are several different lap dance moves but I'll demonstrate the top four.'

Sehun's breath hitches when Jongdae leans forward, his face just inches from his. His hands rest on the top of the chair before he cranes his neck to look at the audience. 'This is called The Sexy Lean. For this, it's pretty simple. Just arch your back and keep your butt in the air. The whole purpose of this is so your lover can see your whole body; the curves, dips and everything in between.'

Sehun does admit, Jongdae has a pretty nice body.

'Next, is The Cowgirl,' Jongdae states, standing up once again. 'This is more of a grinding maneuver. This is what you do.' Jongdae turns and bends over, keeping his hands on Sehun's knees so that his butt is just centimeters from his crotch - it's not touching though and Sehun resists the temptation to grab Jongdae's waist and pull him down. 'Move your butt in circles, and then, when you're ready, switch to an up and down motion.'

Jongdae demonstrates as he talks and Sehun keeps a strained face as he holds back the sounds at the back of his throat. Soon, Jongdae switches to a grind like he had said earlier and Sehun can feel his member hardening through his jeans, making him want to scream stop, but at the same time, he wants Jongdae to keep going.

'Hm, what else is there?' Jongdae asks, obviously unmoved by the whole situation. 'These last two, are untitled so I'll just demonstrate. When giving lap dances, always maintain the right expression,' he instructs and Sehun's mind is somewhere while Jongdae shows off his moves.

Sehun thinks he's going to pass out.

So he does.

?

'Any publicity is good publicity,' Sehun hears a peppy voice declaring. Sehun slowly opens his eyes, regaining conscious. Where was he? Had he really fainted on air? 'You can't fire him, boss! We're a duo.

Sehun doesn't move. He blinks once, twice and then ah, he knows where he is now. He's outside his manager's office, on the ugly mustard couch that Jongdae always scoffs at when they pass by it. Wait a minute, fire? Was his manager considering to fire Sehun? Well, he had made a viewer cry and he also fainted on air so it was clear that showbiz was not for Sehun.

'Jongdae-'

'Sehun is the eye candy of the show! He's the one girls swoon over! You have to keep him.' With that, the office door slams open and Jongdae storms out. 'Oh, good! You're awake, come on, get up, let's go before the manager comes out,' Jongdae hisses, ushering Sehun up and off the couch.

'Was I about to get fired?'

'Yes, but it's okay, I saved you,' Jongdae responds, dragging Sehun out the building. 'Hey, how about we go grab lunch? I'm starving. Today's episode was hectic.'

'Like a date?'

Jongdae stops walking and turns around to look at Sehun. 'Do you like going on dates with me?'

Sehun turns a bright red, his eyebrows rising as his eyes widen. Too soon, too soon. Backtrack, backtrack! 'I - No, I...well, yes but -- ' He's at a loss for words.

Jongdae's face brightens. 'I think on the next episode, we can teach viewers how to ask someone out. How about it, boyfriend?'

'B-boyfriend?'

Jongdae frowns. 'Were we not dating since this morning?'

Sehun blinks, stuttering as Jongdae laughs again, leaning forwards to give Sehun a quick peck. 'Come on, I'm getting more hungry the more we stand around like this.'

Sehun has no choice but to follow along, smiling to himself. Well, he's done it. He's dating Jongdae and he's not sure if it was because of Jjang Dating or not.

*Yeon means young in Korean. Jongdae called him Yeon when he's worried his friends think he's old.
