First snow of the season last night!!! Woot! I ran down to the basement when I woke up to dig out all the old Christmas CD's. We are decorating the tree this afternoon after mass. Powerless
Our power went out this evening for 45 minutes and it was fun. We lit over 30 candles and hung out in the living room together around the fire place. I can't remember the last time we all just hung out and laughed together. It was really nice. It was actually sad when the power went out and everyone ran for their favorite electrical appliance. -

Honor
Don't forget to honor the Veteran's on Tuesday, November, 11th.
My step son, Daniel, will be enlisting in the U.S. Marines in the next few weeks. I have always been touched by this holiday, but now it means a little bit more to me.

Yearly follow up
Back to Chicago on the 12th and 13th for 2 days of tests at the PH specialist. The highlight of the trip will be a White Sox game. (I always try to coordinate visits around a home game.) My daughter wants to see the Sears tower so we might do that as a way of killing time between appointments and the start of the game. -
Mama Mia
Hubby and I just got back from seeing Mama Mia. OMG the best movie I have seen in a very long time! I can't remember the last time I have laughed so hard at a movie! And let me say that I never ever thought I would be interested in getting an album by ABBA. -
new hair
My hair is growing back after the chemo! Woot! It's curly which is strange for me since I always had super straight hair. I just got a really cut trim to give it some shape and got some highlights and lowlights to brighten it up a bit. The cut is really cute, but very strange for me since I've always had long hair before. It's too short to put ( Read more... )
