It's been forever
I haven't been on LJ in a year or two. It's nice to see that many of my friends are still posting. I guess it is time to update the pic and try to get back in the swing of things. -
vacuum woes
My vacuum broke - but I don't want to buy a new one quite yet since we may be going on strike Jan 6... I'm trying to minimize major expenditures! But of course, just before I am finished using it, it starts to make a nasty noise. Ugh! Pepsi Throwback is BACK!!!!!
Starting Dec. 28, for 8-weeks, Pepsi Throwback is back in the stores. I gained 5 pounds the last time it was out. Mmmmmm! Must buy some! -
It's not about money
The teachers voted - 92% - in favor of going on strike Jan. 6. At this point in time I don't think we have any option but to do so. We are not asking for more money. We are not asking for anything that will cost the district to spend more money. We don't want them to remove class size limits and we don't want them to remove teacher seniority. It's official.
Last night the school board voted to close Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL. This is the school that my husband teaches at. They hope to let the students know which of the other three high schools they will be attending by late February. I just got my credit card statement and my interest rate on my credit card went up 10% this past month, doubling my monthly interest payment. I called them to ask why since I have not been late on a single payment. They looked up my credit score and it is excellent. There response was that in the past year by balance hasn't gone down. The last day...

hair
My hair is growing back slowly and super curly. You would never know it by the photo... just got it trimmed today and I always have her flat iron it, just so that I can see how long it really is.
