Yesterday was the first time I've made it to a White Sox game in April... and it was also the earliest I can ever remember getting a sunburn.  It was a beautiful day and it was HOT! School has just been canceled for Friday.
Apparently they think that -16 w/ wind chills in the -30's is cold.

Today is not a snow day, although there is snow on the ground. Today has been dubbed "It's too Fu@king cold to let kids stand out at the bus stop so we are closing the schools" day ( Read more... )

I've never had a frozen pipe so I don't know if that is the case. I got up this morning and water is not flowing into the toilet tank in the upstairs bathroom. Why do problems like this have to be discovered after someone has made a deposit in the toilet? Sigh ( Read more... )

Just like many of you, we got socked by a big ice storm last night. Yesterday was the last day of school for the students, but today was a teacher institute day.
